When you enter your session code, download the file and open it, your Mac asks for two permissions: Accessibility (so I can use the mouse and keyboard to help) and Screen Recording (so I can see your screen). Apple requires every Mac owner to turn these on personally, which is why this takes a minute.
The steps below start when a Zoho permission window appears after you open the file you downloaded.
Step 1: Accessibility
- In the Zoho window, click Proceed, then click Configure next to Accessibility, then Open System Settings.
- Or use this button to open the right page directly: Open Accessibility settings
- Turn on the switch next to Zoho.
- If your Mac asks for a password, type your own Mac password yourself. I never need to know it.
Step 2: Screen Recording
- Back in the Zoho window, click Configure next to Screen Recording, then Open System Settings.
- Or use this button: Open Screen Recording settings
- Turn on the switch next to Zoho. If your Mac asks for your password again, type it yourself.
Step 3: Finish
- With both switches on, click Proceed in the Zoho window. That’s it — we’re connected.
Good to know
- These settings stay on, so you won’t be asked again for future sessions.
- You’re in control. While the screen is being shared, your Mac shows a purple indicator, and you can stop sharing at any time from it.
- The buttons above only work on a Mac. If one doesn’t open System Settings, open it yourself and go to Privacy & Security, then Accessibility or Screen Recording.
- Stuck? Call or text 410-714-6100 and I’ll walk you through it.
